Taking care of your body and focusing on your health is even more important during and after pregnancy, but it should be done with caution.
Commit Fitness in Denver, CO has developed an assessment that will help new mom navigate their new, unfamiliar body. We do a full core evaluation along with a posture analysis. We explore hinge patterns and squat mobility.
The 90 minute assessment will also involve learning proper breathing techniques that teach your core to function as a unit. The breath work is then applied to movement. Your postpartum specialist will coach you on breathing while performing basic exercises such as a squat, Romanian deadlift, over head press , plank and more.
Finally, we finish with a 12 exercise evaluation which allows us to place you in phase 1, 2 or 3. After the assessment is over you will receive an email with your personalized “postpartum fitness prescription.” This will give you homework based on where you are at and confidence when you go into group workouts.
